Establishment of A Family-owned Organic Vegetable Garden
Overview
This is intended to meet my friend's requirements. So far, based on the following facts:
- a piece of land, approx. 3 acres, all-year round green with grass.
- sofe soil, quality under testing (VT soil test service, $5/sample)
- convenient water supply, no underground drainage system (could that be a problem?)
- good location, convenient transportation (side from Berryville Pike, good for commercial advertisement/open house, etc)
Objectives
This project should have the following impacts:
- startup with small-scale trials to confirm feasibility
- extend to middle-scale production with moderate greenhouse/equipment establishment

Schedule
- On-site visit: April 9. (got first impression, took soil samples)
- Info-exchange platform set up: April 12 (created a Wiki page on Daniel's AGROGURU website, for resource collection and timely communication)
- Land planning: consider bed establishment / orientation; manure application; equipment availability, etc.
- Preparatory trials: late April
